From the Biddeford Daily Journal: “Fire which is believed to have started in the same place as a blaze in January, 1912, was discovered Friday night about 8:30 o’clock in the barn connected with the residence of Arthur Plante at 17 Pine street. The fire had got a good start and while an attempt was made to get the best of it without calling the department, it was found necessary to send in an alarm from box 25 at Smiths corner.”
