Saint David’s Episcopal Church on U.S. Route 1 in Kennebunk is offering worship services on Sundays at 8 a.m., with Rite I Eucharist at 8 a.m. and Rite II Eucharist at 10:30 a.m. with church school beginning at 10:15 a.m. effective Sept. 20. For more information, call 985-3073.

St. George’s Episcopal Church, 3 Emerson St. in Sanford, returned to regular worship services at 8 a.m. and 10 a.m. every Sunday, beginning Sept. 13. Child care is available at the 10 a.m. service. The church will be offering the blessing of animals at the Farmer’s Market in Sanford on Saturday, Oct. 3, from 9 a.m. to noon. A tradition in honor of St. Francis of Assisi, who loved all of God’s creatures, will include a blessing and some treats for dogs, cats, teddy bears, etc.

Holy Cross Lutheran Church, 2 Lord St., Kennebunk has modern Lutheran Liturgy on Sundays at 8:15 a.m., adult forum at 9:30 a.m., and traditional Lutheran Liturgy at 10:45 a.m. On the last Sunday of every month, single service is at 10 a.m. For more information, call 985-4803.

United Baptist Church, 318 Main St., Saco, will change the hour of worship on Sunday, Sept. 13 at 10 a.m. The 10 a.m. hour will continue through the end of May. Sunday School is also at 10 a.m. and begins Sept. 13.

Unitarian Universalist Church of Saco-Biddeford offers Sunday services at 10 a.m. followed by a social hour. For more information call church at 282-0062.

Second Congregational Church, 19 Crescent St., Biddeford, will offer the program “What is the Bible?” on Wednesday, Oct. 7 from 10-11:30 a.m. and 7-8:30 p.m. This will be a broad overview of the Bible, including chapters on how to select a Bible suitable for one’s needs, how the Bible is organized, how the collections of books that comprise the Bible were chosen, different ways that people approach the text, and what archaeology has to tell us about the text and its stories.
