Waynflete takes down OOB

OLD ORCHARD BEACH — The Waynflete boys basketball team jumped out to a 15-point halftime lead and never looked back as they picked up a 54-36 win over Old Orchard Beach on Thursday night.

Christian Brooks led Waynflete with 15 points. Asker Hussein added 12 points and Finn Scott chipped in 10 points.

OOB was led by Ian Regan with 12 points. Kyle Allen and Tyler Michaud both had five points in the loss.

Windham 76, Sanford 50

The host Eagles would get 30 points from Nick Curtis as they rolled to the win.

Mike Gilman added 22 points in the win for Windham.

Sanford was led by Leyton Bickford with 19 points and John Garnsey added 17 points.

Falmouth 50, Massabesic 45

Despite leading by nine points early in the game and holding a lead in the fourth quarter, the Mustangs were unable to close out visiting Falmouth on Thursday.

Free throws were the difference in the game, as Falmouth hit 21 of 30 shots while Massabesic was just 1-for-6.

Isaac DesVergnes led Massabesic with 13 points while Nick Amabile and Alex Schepis added 10. Owen Roberts would also chip in eight points off the bench.

The Mustangs fall to 2-7 and will take of Cheverus on Saturday.

Old Orchard Beach 30, Waynflete 25

The Lady Gulls would jump out to a 17-8 halftime lead and held on from there as they improved to 6-2 on the season.

Emily Greenlee led OOB with 11 points. Bri Plante would finished with seven points and Kaitlyn Cote chipped in five points.

Lydia Giguere led Waynflete with 19 points.

Biddeford 46, Westbrook 37

The Tigers would erase a halftime deficit and cruise to in the second half to secure the win over Westbrook.

Gracie Martin fueled the Tigers, scoring 29 points with 23 coming in the second half. Charli Yoho added 12 points for Biddeford.

Marshwood 69, Noble 41

The Hawks cruised to a big win over Noble on Thursday.

Raegan Kelly led Noble with 15 points, eight rebounds, four blocks and three asissts. Amy Fleming added nine points along with five assists and three steals.
