Turnpike work in Biddeford to close southbound ramps at night

By ED PIERCE

BIDDEFORD — Motorists heading southbound on the Maine Turnpike in Biddeford at night this week should probably find another route.

According to a press release from the Maine Turnpike Authority, on- and off-ramps at exit 32 south in Biddeford will be closed at night this week for construction work.

Both the southbound on- and off-ramps of the turnpike will be closed between 10 p.m. and 5 a.m. Monday through Friday.

Signs will be posted to direct drivers and alert them of on-going changes as the construction work continues.

Turnpike officials say that the work is part of a three-project initiative in Biddeford that includes work on the Route 111 underpass bridge, the Biddeford Interchange Bridge and the Crediford Brook Culvert.
